Terms of Service — Pathurn

1. Acceptance & Contractual Binding

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("the User", "your") and Digisept LTD ("we", "us", "our"), the legal owners and operators of the Pathurn pathology learning platform (pathurn.study) and the Clerkyn clinical clerking simulator (clerkyn.pathurn.study). By creating a unified account, upgrading to a Premium plan, or accessing any learning modules, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not accept these terms in their entirety, you must immediately terminate your use of the platforms.

2. Description of Services & Unified Account Ecosystem

Digisept LTD provides premium medical training resources:

Pathurn: Interactive histopathology study tools, including digital slide libraries, timed OSCE steeplechase simulators, and spaced-repetition cards tracking.

Clerkyn: A gamified clinical clerking simulator allowing you to interview virtual patients, order investigations, and submit diagnoses.

Unified Account: You register and access both platforms through a single central login credential hosted on the Pathurn authentication system. Your subscription plan, active login sessions, and profile settings are consolidated across our products.

3. Crucial Disclaimer: Not Medical Advice

Academic & Educational Purpose Only

All digital slides, gross specimens, annotations, patient cases, clinical transcripts, diagnostic feedback, and workup answers on Pathurn and Clerkyn are designed solely for examination preparation and academic reference. They do not constitute clinical diagnoses, professional medical advice, or treatment guidelines. We make no warranty regarding the clinical accuracy or completeness of the materials for active healthcare scenarios.

4. User Integrity, Credential Sharing & Security

When creating an account, you must provide accurate profile details (name, university, year of study). You are responsible for the confidentiality of your authentication details and are fully liable for all activity originating from your account.

Granular Stacking Rules & Limits:

No Credential Sharing: Your Premium subscription is licensed for single-user study only. Account sharing or simultaneous multi-device logins by different individuals is strictly forbidden.
Active Sessions Monitoring: Our system logs active sessions. Multiple concurrent IPs in different geographical regions will flag automated locks. You may audit and terminate external sessions in your settings.
Prohibition of Scraping & Copying: All slide files, custom vector overlays, labels, clinical OSCE scenarios, patient dialogs, and database tables are proprietary property of Digisept LTD. Automated crawling, scraping, screenshot compilation, or systematic extraction is prohibited and will result in immediate termination of your access without refund.

5. Subscriptions, Billings & Geographic Integrity

Access to core specimen collections and basic simulations is free. Premium services (including Compare engine, Study Trays, and unlimited OSCE simulation runs) are billed on recurring cycles (monthly/yearly). Payments are handled via Flutterwave.

Billing Integrity & Geographic Settings

To keep our platform accessible to medical and dental students worldwide, we apply billing configurations based on your registered country of study and current billing region. You agree to provide accurate and truthful billing information. The use of proxy networks, VPNs, or location-masking tools during checkout to circumvent regional settings or select a pricing plan from a region other than your actual location is strictly prohibited and constitutes a material breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to audit subscription checkouts and cancel billing for accounts in violation of this requirement.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can trigger cancellation at any time via the Settings page. Refunds are regulated strictly under our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Dispute Resolution & Support Commitments

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact support directly to resolve issues amicably.
